The City of Pitt Meadows and BC Assessment Authority have done Maple Ridge one better!
My 2024 tax increase on my residence was $880 or 16 per cent.
I guess my 40-year-old little rancher was tagged as a real money maker by Pitt Meadows council.
I would expect this from Eby or Trudeau but not my financially prudent local government.
This is a great example of why we should return to having municipal elections every second year, so we can tell these tone deaf councillors what we think of their spending habits.
Please next year send the double digit tax increases to Amazon, not me!
