Stanley Cup final viewing party tonight in downtown Maple Ridge

The final game of the Stanley Cup playoffs will be on the screen tonight at the Greg Moore Youth Centre.

The city is hosting a viewing part for the Stanley Cup finals game seven, winner-take-all matchup between the Edmonton Oilers and Florida Panthers tonight.

The big game will be on the big screen at 5 p.m. at the Greg Moore Youth Centre, and the doors will open at 4:40 p.m..

The Edmonton Oilers are vying to be the first Canadian team to win the big trophy since 1993, when the Montreal Canadiens won it.

The Florida Panthers are gunning for the first Stanley Cup championship in their franchise's history. They were founded in 1993.

For the historic game, the City of Maple Ridge is promising to have a light snack concession open, with all proceeds going to the Maple Ridge Youth Council
