Maple Ridge Archery Club set records at BC Indoor Target Archery Championships

Targets were hit and records were smashed at the BC Indoor Target Archery Championships, which took place at the Maple Ridge Curling Rink on March 30 and 31.

Markus Zurberg, vice-president of the Maple Ridge Archery Club, called the event a complete success, and said that the number of competitors surpassed the previous record of 147 archers in the 2018 archery championships.

“We ended up with 170 competitors on the line, which is the biggest turnout ever in the history of the indoor championships,” said Zurberg.

While the event included 12 local archery club members, it also involved archers from all over the province, as well as parts of the Yukon.

“We had archers from as far as Charlie Lake to the north, Fernie to the east, Courtenay to the west, and Delta to the south,” said Zurberg.
