A trio of Maple Ridge hockey players have recently committed to play with junior clubs out of town.

The Comox Valley Glacier Kings announced that have acquired Maple Ridge forward Cohen Kallin for the coming season. Kallin, 19, last played with the Port Coquitlam Trailblazers of the Pacific Junior Hockey League.

"The tough, physical forward is sure to be a fan favourite this season in Comox," said the announcement.

Kallin had nine points and 71 penalty minutes in 32 games with the Trailblazers last season.

The Glacier Kings play in the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League, and last season finished second in the North Division. The VIJHL announced in April that it will become an independent league this season.

The Mission City Outlaws have announced that a pair of former Ridge Meadows Rustlers – 2007 forward Colton Collard and 2006 defenceman Deston Harding – have both signed with the PJHL team for the coming season.

Last season the Outlaws finished ninth in the 14-team league with 49 points in 48 games.
