The residence is very well known to police, explained Insp. Adam Gander, with the scene still being taped off for investigation.

“Police immediately attended the scene, along with the Integrated Police Dog Service (IPDS) and conducted a search of the residence. Inside the residence, one person was observed suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg,” said Gander.

“BC Emergency Health Services provided medical assistance to the male before transporting him to hospital. No other injuries were sustained.”

Due to the target nature of the incident, Gander said that there is no further threat to public safety.

Any witnesses or individuals with video of the area can contact Ridge Meadows RCMP at 604-463-6251.
