The Maple Ridge Public Library wants to help kids embrace science, technology, engineering, art, and math by launching their new STEAM Fridays program.

Starting this Friday, the library learning campaign will bring kids between the ages of eight and 12 together to participate in a wide range of STEAM-related activities.

Liza Morris, community librarian supervisor, said that this new initiative will give kids a new craft-based program each session.

Some of the upcoming events will include hands-on learning about robotics, coding, origami, and paper airplanes.

“We are looking for new opportunities to engage with pre-teens in a way that is fun and engaging,” said Morris.
