The City of Pitt Meadows is putting out a call for local artists with a passion for woodworking ahead of the opening of the new art exhibit next month.

Featuring a theme of the natural beauty of wood, this new Pitt Meadows Art Gallery exhibit is scheduled to open on Aug. 3.

Anyone wanting to have their work included in the gallery must apply on the city's website and be willing to put their pieces up for sale at the exhibit.

The application deadline is 11:59 p.m. on July 10, with more details available at www.pittmeadows.ca/arts-culture-heritage.

The wood-themed exhibit will be open at the Pitt Meadows Art Gallery from Aug. 3 to Sept. 8.
