The Pitt Meadows Public Library is inviting people to come express themselves with both journaling and art as part of the upcoming art night event.

Teenagers and adults will gather together to create their own personal visual art journals using a variety of artistic mediums.

“We will be using watercolour, acrylic paint, and other art supplies or ephemera,” said the Pitt Meadows Public Library. “We will be drawing, painting, writing, and more.”

All of the artistic supplies will be provided by the library, with participants heavily encouraged to bring copies of their favourite family photos to use in the project.

Anyone who already has a journal is recommended to bring it with them, but new journals will also be provided to those without one.

The library explained that this will be an opportunity for people to collect and record their emotions, memories, and dreams all in one place.
