The Maple Ridge Concert Band will be exploring a Journey to Change for their annual fall concert.

Band director, John van Deursen, said he has put together an exciting program with some classic band pieces, a march or two, which are always popular, and some seasonal favourites.

The concert will also feature a performance by the Westview Secondary School band, under the direction of Linda Jensen.

In addition, there will be performances by the Intermediate and Adult Beginner Concert bands, directed by Geeta Das.

The grand finale will feature the school band players along with all the entire Maple Ridge Concert Band.

Journey to Change will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 28, at the Albion Community Centre, 24165 104 Ave. in Maple Ridge.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors, and free for children under 12.

All three community bands are always recruiting new players. Beginners and experienced players can join the band of their choice in the new year, at a pro-rated fee.
