PHOTOS: Christmas comes to Pitt Meadows Elementary

About 400 students took part in the winter-themed concert

Families of students packed the gym at Ecole Pitt Meadows Elementary School on Wednesday to watch holiday-themed performances at the school’s annual Christmas concert.

About 400 students took part in the concert with one class reciting their own twist of the Christmas classic, Twas the Night Before Christmas, a poem written by Clement Clarke Moore, and another singing holiday favourite, I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas written by John Rox, and another launching into a Christmas themed Y.M.C.A. by Village People.

Performances were in both French and English at the French immersion school.

The concert was organized by Grade 1/2 French teacher Sierra Paschalis, with a team supporting elves.
