Youth Week continues until May 7

Youth Week has officially kicked off, with dozens of people gathering Wednesday at Thomas Haney Action Park for the barbecue and skateboarding competition.

Brian Patel, youth recreation coordinator for the City of Maple Ridge, said that he encourages local youth to come out and engage with these upcoming events as much as possible.

“Youth Week is an opportunity to showcase all the positive things youth are doing in our community and to let them know that we are here to support them,” said Patel.
